Visit the Kids Area for hands-on, kids crafts and activities. The Kids Area is located on the lawn of LIbrary Square and is open Saturday and Sunday from 12 PM - 5 PM. 
Please note that children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Shake It Up! Shake it Out! Make Your Own Maracas and Learn Bomba Rhythms with Manuel Padro, Un Boricua Extraviado
Learn how to make maracas with simple objects around the house. Afterwards, learn maraca techniques and rhythms from a music style known as bomba puertorriqueña.

Kids Scavenger Hunt with One Kind Act at a Day
Come pick up your scavenger hunt kit to guide your adventure around the festival grounds. Use stickers to track your progress as you visit performances, workshops, and crafts.

Mexican Paper Flowers with Lola Paredes Pozas
Using tissue paper, a staple in Mexican crafts, participants will learn the traditional skill of creating beautiful and vibrant paper flowers.
